Important Policies

At Southern Stars Safaris, we understand that travel plans can change. Because safari space is limited and vehicles/guides are reserved in advance, the following cancellation terms apply to all bookings. Your booking supports local guides, hospitality workers, and small tourism businesses within the Greater Kruger region, where tourism plays an important role in sustaining livelihoods and conservation-focused travel experiences.

Safaris Vehicle Bookings:
Cancellation Time vs Refund:
More than 14 days before the activity, a full refund less admin/payment processing fees will be paid.
Cancellation 7–14 days before an activity a 50% refund less admin/payment processing fees will be paid..
Cancellation Less than 7 days before activity, no refund.

Rescheduling
One reschedule may be allowed subject to availability.
Requests must be made at least 72 hours before departure.
Rescheduling within 72 hours is treated as a cancellation.

Weather & Wildlife
Safaris operate in most weather conditions.
Wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed.
Weather, animal movement, gate delays, or road conditions do not qualify for refunds.

Southern Stars Safaris reserves the right to:

Change routes or departure times
Substitute vehicles or guides when necessary
Cancel activities due to safety concerns, park regulations, extreme weather, vehicle breakdowns, or minimum guest requirements. If SLOWfari cancels an activity and no alternative can be provided, guests will receive either a full refund, or the option to reschedule

Guests are responsible for:

Arriving on time at the agreed pickup location.
Carrying valid passports/ID where required.
Following guide and park safety instructions.

Late arrivals that result in missed departures are considered no-shows.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days, depending on the payment provider or bank. International refunds may take longer.
